i am so grateful that these two brought me along to their wedding at crystal lake golf club in mapleville ri; 1. because i had never been to mapleville ri before 2. helped me get over my friday the 13th fear…just kidding 2. because their wedding was full of love + personality + fun. the wedding took place on a blustery day in the fall. thankfully the venue has a cool men’s locker room that we used to warm up after the first look + create some unique portraits inside. the grounds of crystal lake lend itself to endless photographic possibilities. throw a vintage car into the mix + i am loving this venue. everyone bundled up with blankets + each other for an intimate + personal ceremony overlooking the lake. surrounded by close knit family + friends, leah + russell celebrated their love + it was an honor to document it for them.
this year was jammed packed full of new experiences + travel. so much so i felt the need to make 2 separate posts for my year in review. thank you to all the couples who allow me into their intimate spaces + trust me to document such a special time in their lives. i had so many great opportunities to photograph my own weddings as well as photograph as a 2nd photographer for some dear friends as well as some that I only just met this year. huge shout out to these lovely ladies for trusting me to tag along + help document these weddings: lisa, jen, rebecca, jen, + justine.
i have totally fallen in love with some new local venues [roger williams botanical center/ crystal lake/ ocean house/ newport beach house/ griffin museum of photography] as well as revisited some of my all time favs [glen manor house/ linden place/ blithewold]. all the amazing wedding vendors that i had the privilege to work with this year, thank you, you make my job a whole lot easier with your skill, expertise + attention to detail. while it is difficult to compound a whole year of fabulous new england weddings, here is my attempt to give you a visually pleasing recap of my year as a ri wedding photographer. you may want to get comfy…it’s a long one
