you may already be familiar with this awesome photographer, but in case you are not, let me introduce you to Lisa ofLisa Frechette Photography. back longer than I would like to mention, Lisa took me under her wing + taught me so much about the wedding photography industry. to give you an idea of how long ago, we were still shooting film. I am so grateful that she took a chance with me as her trusty second photographer because I am pretty sure I would not be where I am today without her. she effortlessly captures the joy + love of her subjects with a timeless + romantic flair. she has an infectious laugh + a great sense of humor. honestly, I feel my funniest after time spent with her, she laughs at all my jokes! she has an awful sense of direction, loves summers more than I do, + is the most down-to-earth perfectionist I have ever met. there is a good chance if you hire her you will see me as I am extremely lucky to continue to hold the title of being her trusty second photographer.
we had a great time down at beavertail state park in Jamestown RI to update her headshots for her new website [ check it out here]. this park has the perfect ocean vistas for a sun-kissed golden hour summer portrait, but beware as we both got the worst case of poison ivy ever, still totally worth it!
57 days into the year + I am already cursing myself for this personal challenge + to make matters worse I chose this week, my birthday week [yay Pisces season!!] to be my own muse. I highly recommend not doing this to yourselves. self-portraits are hard. self-portraits during a pandemic where you have been adamantly quarantining are even harder. self-portraits while also dealing with the natural aspects of aging are, you guessed it, the hardest…so here you have a pic a week
family portraits have been a saving grace during the last year. it kept my photography muscles conditioned while also allowing me some safe-distance socializing with a much needed break of the routine of quarantining. this session took place at one of my favorite ri locations; beavertail state park in jamestown. if you are looking to document the family this year + break up the usual routine check out my year long portrait special.
