all the stars aligned for this wedding at the atlantic resort in newport ri this past weekend. + i guess you could say that the stars have always been aligning for these two. Theirs is a very touching story of a high school crush [that is Jo crushing on Kevin] that doesn’t get the chance to bloom until into their adulthood when their paths cross once again when Jo was caring for Kevin’s father in the ICU. with their daughters by their side as well as many family + friends, they made it all official. there were tears but mostly laughter + some crazy dance moves [ if you see Kevin in the wild play “thriller” + just sit back + watch the magic] here are just a few frames of their wedding story. more to come if I ever get around to blogging full weddings again…
I was speaking with my mom a few weeks ago + we were talking about my work as a wedding photographer + she said that “you have a front-row seat to joy!” + it really stuck with me. That conversation with my mom kept coming to mind this weekend.
I had the best seat in the house to the joy that surrounded Audra + Ryan. I am so lucky to have a career that places me in a seat to view joy so clearly. My gratitude to these couples that let me in + trust me to document this joy leaves me speechless. + these two, wow! so much open-mouthed throw your head back JOY!! From their unconventional pumpkin carving rehearsal dinner to their beautiful fall wedding celebration at Roger Williams Park Casino, JOY JOY JOY! These two just exude so much f-ing joy that it was absolutely phenomenal to witness + bask in its glow!
here are just a few frames from their wedding story
what a great way to celebrate mom’s 49th [really 70th] birthday by getting the whole far-flung family together for a family portrait. plus, it kinda takes care of the holiday cards as well. smart family! I had the pleasure of meeting them this past weekend + we made the best of the chilly sunny fall day at Goddard Park. for some reason, the youngest always steals the show.
